Teeline.co.uk is designed specifically for independent learners of Teeline shorthand. All resources on this site can be used without enrolling on a journalism course or paying for textbooks. The site provides clear explanations, practical exercises, and guidance for learning Teeline safely and accurately, emphasising hand-written practice and understanding of joins. 

The Teeline shorthand system is a method of writing and is not subject to copyright protection under UK law. This site and its associated materials are original works based on that system and do not reproduce any proprietary or exam-specific content. Teeline.co.uk is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NCTJ or any other examining body.

By using this Site you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Site.

E‑commerce Rules
A. Product Descriptions, Pricing & Contract Formation
  • We provide clear, accurate descriptions of all products and services, including applicable prices, shipping fees, and other relevant charges.
  • All prices are displayed in GBP (£).
  • By placing an order on our site, you agree that order confirmation (sent via email) constitutes a legally binding contract.
B. Distance Selling & Consumer Contracts
  • We comply with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013:
  • You have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods.
  • To exercise your right to cancel, please contact us via [email protected], including your order number.
  • If cancelling, we will refund the full purchase amount (including standard delivery charges) within 14 days of receiving the returned items or proof of return.
  • Items must be returned in original condition. Return postage may be the customer's responsibility unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
  • Digital content is non-refundable once download or streaming has begun.
C. Payments & Delivery
  • Payment is taken securely at checkout. We do not store full payment details.
  • If there are delivery delays, we will notify you promptly and provide options, including cancellation with a full refund if the delay is unreasonable.
D. Liability
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., loss of income, data, or business opportunity), except where required by law.
  • Our total liability in connection with any product shall not exceed the purchase price of that product.

Subscriptions
A. Sign-Up & Disclosure
  • Subscription details, including frequency (e.g., monthly, yearly), cost, renewal terms, and cancellation rights, are clearly displayed on the sign-up page.
  • All recurring subscriptions require clear opt-in consent via a tick box at checkout or registration.

User‑Generated Content (UGC)A. Definition & LicenceUGC includes comments, product reviews, images, videos, forum posts, and any material uploaded by users.
By submitting UGC, users provide you a licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish and display it on the Site, in marketing, social media, etc.
B. Moderation & Notice‑and‑Take‑Down
  • We are committed to maintaining a safe and lawful environment on Teeline.co.uk. To this end:
  • Content Moderation
    We reserve the right to monitor, review, edit, or remove any content submitted or displayed on our platform that we deem, at our sole discretion, to be illegal, harmful, or in breach of these Terms. This includes, but is not limited to, content that may be defamatory, discriminatory, infringing intellectual property rights, threatening, hateful, abusive, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Notice-and-Take-Down Procedure
