Professional Teeline and its series are independently developed resources designed to teach, modernise, and extend the Teeline shorthand system for contemporary professional use. This material is not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ). Teeline is a phonetic shorthand system originally developed by James Hill in 1968. The NCTJ holds copyright over certain course materials, but shorthand systems themselves are not restricted.
All original content, outlines, teaching sequences, and examples in this course are the intellectual property of Chartley Books or its respective authors and are intended for general shorthand development, professional use, and speed-building.
Learners preparing for official NCTJ shorthand examinations should refer to the NCTJ syllabi.
